As soon as she entered their room, she quickly took out the money and hid it within her clothes. Then, she went to take a bath and performed her prayers.
After finishing her prayers, she felt at peace. She carefully applied makeup on her face like a bride and then wore some stylish English outfits. She looked stunning, but no one would guess she understood what Islam meant.
Just as she was putting on her shoes, Feefee entered the room, staring at Salma in shock.
Salma stood up and told Feefee, “Bestie, I’m going shopping, please cook for us before I return.”
Feefee looked at her in disbelief and said, “Salma, are you seriously going out dressed like this? Are you even thinking straight? This kind of outfit is meant for your husband to see, not strangers. I swear, if you keep dressing like this, you’ll never find a good man who will truly love you.”
Salma scoffed, “That’s your own business! A ‘good man’ that I’ll have to choose carefully! You think you’re special just because you’re a virgin? Well, so am I. If I were promiscuous, you could say I wouldn’t find a good man, but I’m not! Feefee, you’re overstepping your boundaries. Why are you always criticizing me? You couldn’t even compliment me on my makeup, yet you came here filling my ears with nonsense. From now on, don’t ever talk to me like this again. Worry about yourself, not me!”
With that, she stormed out, leaving Feefee standing like a statue.
When Salma reached the roadside, she changed the way she walked. The outfit she wore made her navel visible with every movement, and the chain around her waist peeked out from above her jeans. She walked with a seductive sway.
As she stood by the road chewing gum, a black Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC pulled up in front of her. The tinted glass rolled down slowly, revealing an older man—someone old enough to be her father.
Thinking she wasn’t Muslim, the man spoke to her in English:
“Sexy baby, good evening.”
Salma raised her eyes to meet his, flashed a small smile, and responded, “Hello, sugar daddy.”
Her response amused him, so he said, “If you don’t mind, let me give you a ride.”
This was exactly what Salma wanted, but since she was a classy ‘baby,’ she played hard to get.
"Oh, I appreciate it, but I’m actually waiting for my driver," she said.
He believed her instantly because she didn’t look like someone from a poor background.
“From the way you look, I knew there had to be a reason you were standing here. But please, come in and let me drop you off.”
After some hesitation, she finally agreed. As she entered the car, she deliberately swayed her hips, making the man gulp in desire.
“My name is Alhaji Adamu Canji. I work at CBN and live in Abuja. I’m only here for a meeting. What’s your name?”
In a sweet and captivating voice, she answered, “My name is Salma Hadi Medala. I’m serving my NYSC here from Kaduna State.”
“Wow, nice name! So, you’re actually Muslim?”
“Of course! I’m a devout Muslim. I just love fashion, that’s why I dress like this.”
“That’s good. Where are you heading now?”
“I’m going shopping. I also want to change my phone, which is why I came out.”
“No problem. Let me take you there. You deserve to be treated well.”
He drove her to a high-end supermarket, where she began picking luxury beauty products and food items. After that, they moved to the electronics section.
Alhaji personally chose for her an iPhone 7 and a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Salma’s eyes widened in shock, watching the unbelievable generosity of fate.
When they reached the counter, the total bill for everything she picked, including the phones, was ₦450,000.
She almost stopped breathing when she saw Alhaji Adamu pull out cash and pay instantly.
She was speechless, only watching as the items were bagged and carried to the car. She was too dazed to walk properly, so Alhaji Adamu placed his hand around her waist to support her.
She didn’t resist his touch. Instead, she allowed him to lead her out of the store.
Just as they reached the entrance, they ran into Doctor Najeeb, who had also come shopping.
Doctor Najeeb was utterly shocked to see Salma in such a state. His face was filled with disgust as he glared at her. Salma, on the other hand, threw him a defiant look.
Even though she didn’t like the fact that he had caught her in the arms of another man, she refused to show it.
Doctor Najeeb turned and walked into the store, while Salma and Alhaji Adamu continued to the car.
