Birnin Bahar Usuƙ is a renowned city in northern China, famous for its valiant warriors capable of conquering an entire city at once. The city is also known for its great sorcerers who are experts in mystical magic.
Many mighty kings have ruled Bahar Usuƙ for many years, but they all lost their lives in pursuit of a single elusive goal that none could achieve. Seeing how the great rulers of the region perished in their quests, subsequent kings grew impatient with this unfulfilled ambition.
King Urwat bin Shamraz was the twenty-fifth ruler of Bahar Usuƙ. King Urwat was a formidable monarch, possessing immense physical strength and extensive knowledge of sorcery. He was unmatched by neighboring rulers due to his assembly of mighty warriors, including humans, jinn, and beasts.
The city of Bahar Usuƙ was heavily fortified, such that not even a needle could enter without King Urwat's permission. Many countries attempted to attack Bahar Usuƙ, but no invader ever left the city alive. The city's walls were built from the blood of the mighty warriors who perished in their assaults.
A modest room adorned with pure jewels contained only three chairs. The central chair, made of raw gold, was the largest, flanked by two smaller chairs. King Urwat sat on the central chair, wearing simple attire, with an open face and a bare head. His face was marked by lines, and his muscular arms showcased his bravery and kingly valor. Beside him stood two young men who closely resembled each other.
Before the chairs, an elderly man with long white hair and a matching beard bowed his head and began to speak:
"Your Majesty, it is known that this ancient ambition, which has been passed down since your fifth great-grandfather, has never been fulfilled by anyone who attempted it and survived."
Before the old man could finish, King Urwat shouted a thunderous command that startled the old man, causing him to tremble and speak with difficulty: "Forgive me, Your Majesty. This ambition is nothing more than the conquest of the city of Kangiwa, the richest and most powerful nation in our realm. The throne of this city is unlike any other, built over the graves of the king of the jinn, the greatest sorcerer, and twelve war kings. Your Majesty, the reason for this ambition is that any ruler who conquers this city will undoubtedly have the power to fulfill any desire in this world."
"It has been two thousand years since anyone has ascended the throne of Kangiwa. The last ruler was a mighty jinn warrior named King Darbuza, who ruled over humans, jinn, and great beasts. He was so powerful that even birds would bow to him for food. During his reign, he killed every sorcerer and jinn of note and crafted a mystical silver skullcap, which he always wore."
"When King Darbuza realized his life was nearing its end, he assembled his forces and embarked on a journey to the Cave of Maɗaful Azab. The cave, which houses great beasts and jinn, is three months' journey from our land on a fine horse and six months on regular steeds. Being the king of jinn and humans, King Darbuza reached the cave in three days with his jinn warriors. Upon arriving, he removed the skullcap, cut his own throat with it, and threw the blood-soaked skullcap into the cave. His body trembled and then stiffened, lifeless."
"Since then, the city of Kangiwa has remained unclaimed, as no one could occupy the throne without retrieving the skullcap from the Cave of Maɗaful Azab. As I mentioned, the journey takes three months on a fine horse, and historically, the path is filled with unparalleled danger and suffering. Additionally, no jinn can fly the route; they must travel on foot or beast, making the journey incredibly perilous."
