After the departure of Hajiya, Mubarak, and Affan, Sahal started sleeping in Hajiya’s room, and he misused her belongings. They sold everything that could bring in money. When Umar returned, he saw the mess they had created and scolded them, especially Sahal, who was the main troublemaker. Umar expressed his frustration to Lami, saying, “While you were here, these children made a mess of Hajiya’s room.” Lami responded, “It’s Sahal who is the troublemaker despite his age.”

Since Umar returned, there were daily complaints about Sahal, and Umar constantly had to apologize on his behalf.

One day, Husna was all dressed up in a skirt and blouse. When Umar came in, he asked, “Why are you so dressed up, mother of girls?” She hugged him and said, “I’ve missed my husband.” Umar complimented her, “You look good, Husna. You’re almost a grandmother.” She replied, “We are close to becoming grandparents, but remember, Leema is my younger sister, so I’m not that old yet.” Umar agreed but mentioned their daughter Melat. Husna said, “She is my first daughter.” Umar suggested, “Maybe we will get them married at the same time.” Husna, alarmed, said, “But Melat is only 17, and we have dreams of her getting a higher education. Besides, she doesn’t have a boyfriend yet.” Umar then told her that Melat had found someone in India, and they had talked. “He is a local who works there. We’ve talked, and I think they are a good match,” he explained. Husna was surprised and asked who the person was. Umar revealed that he was the son of a deputy governor. Husna, eyes wide, said, “Umar, don’t you think they are out of our league?” Umar pulled her close, kissed her, and said, “I’m in a hurry. Let’s not talk about this now.”

Hajiya had recovered significantly and was discharged from the hospital. Ali took them to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia before they returned home. At the Kaaba, Hajiya wept, asking Allah for forgiveness. Upon their arrival in Nigeria, Ali dropped them off at home before leaving.

All the family members gathered in Hajiya’s living room to greet her and ask about her health. As Husna was about to leave, Hajiya stopped her, asking her to stay. Hajiya, with tears in her eyes, asked Husna for forgiveness, attributing her past actions to the devil and her own anger. Umar stood in front of Husna and said, “Mother of my children, please forgive Hajiya.” Husna, with tears streaming down her face, said, “I forgive you, Hajiya. I never held a grudge against you.” Both Hajiya and Umar thanked her profusely. Hajiya then asked for forgiveness from each family member, and they all forgave her.

Hajiya then gave Umar permission to renovate their house. Umar thanked her. Leema then spoke up, saying they needed to address Sahal’s behavior, as he wasn’t attending school or Islamic lessons. Hajiya asked where Sahal was, as she hadn’t seen him since her return. Leema explained that he hadn’t been staying at home. Umar asked what they should do about Sahal, and Leema suggested sending him to a Quranic school with Mustafha, hoping the Quran would help calm him. They all agreed with Leema’s suggestion.

Finally, they set the wedding dates for Leema and Melat, three months from now. The royal family gave Leema a dowry of 500,000 naira, ten chairs, and a car key. Melat received one million naira and a car. The arrangements were made with mutual respect and honor.
