Kayataccen was a mansion owned by Alhaji Aliyu Bello Khaliyal, who was one of the most influential men in the city. He had a soldier who served as his guard in the barracks, protecting him day and night before retiring. Notably, the mansion was located in Kebbi State, specifically in the town of Khaliyal, and the Khaliyal family was well-known for their business, which extended all the way to Kano.
Behind the main house, where the workers lived, life was bustling. The cooking pots were still on the stove, and it was there that I noticed the smoke coming out. A girl who could not be older than 15 or 16 years was sitting with some pots on her stomach; they were full and beautiful to look at, and they also had a lot of fun.
